Below you will find all of our installation instructions. We decided to do videos, instead of written instructions as we feel it makes it easier to actually see the best ways to install our emblems and parts, versus pictures and reading. These work for most of our emblems and parts. If you have any issues, please message us!

Grab Handle Emblem Install

The grab handles are easy to install, but they are FRAGILE, so care must be taken. Prep work must be done carefully. You should clean with rubbing alcohol AND a degreaser. The alcohol isn't enough by itself to remove leftover silicone residue, commonly found in automotive protectants (armor-all, etc). These emblems are made in a flush style, so the inner letters are pressed into the outline. They may feel sightly loose before install. This is normal and not a big deal once they are stuck, they won't move. You need to peel the backing on all the letters and the outline. They are individual, so a small pick or knife is helpful. After setting the emblem in place, you need to apply some pressure, evenly on all parts of the emblem. DO NOT mash is down, as you could break the emblem. Just some medium, steady pressure is usually enough. Care must be taken to not hit the emblem after it is installed. Purses, backpacks, feet, etc, can easily damage the emblem.

Hood Emblem Install

Updated 10/9/26 - This product will need to be heated to become pliable enough to adhere to the Jeep hood curvature. However, with extreme caution this can be done at home. We have switched to a method using a mold to prebend the emblems. This sounds tougher than it is, and actually works better than any other method we have tried.

Please Note: For vintage Wrangler and JK Rubicon style, these can be stuck without prebending them. They just need to be slightly warmed.

Tools needed: Oven, Baking Pan, Oven Mit, Towel, Piece of 4" PVC pipe or a large tumbler. Anything with a radius close (but a bit more) than the radius of the hood.

  1. Clean the area that you're planning to install the emblem. This doesn't mean just soap and water. You want to ensure there isn't any grease, wax, or any other substance to cause issues with adhesion. Rubbing alcohol doesn't always work, it's recommended to use a high quality degreaser, and then use rubbing alcohol. Once cleaned and dry, find the center point of your hood. Line up the included template to the bottom edge and center point of the hood. Tape into place with painters tape.
  2. Preheat your oven to 200° F . Lay one set (one side) of your letters face up onto a flat sheet (cookie sheet) and heat them for around 5-10 minutes. (This does vary and you need to check them as they go. They should be able to be bent easily). Once heated, extreme caution must be had as they will be hot. Very carefully remove a letter and while using a towel, pot holder, or glove to protect your hand, bend the letter over the mold (pvc, tumber, etc). Hold for appox 1 minute while they cool quite a bit. They should bend easily, but hold the shape after. They WILL straighten out a bit. That is okay and what you want. Depending on speed, you can prebend all the letters one after another, then install them all. The idea is to have them still slightly warm. If the bend is too far, heat them slightly and they will straighten back out when installed. It is better to have the bend more, rather than less. Take the letter(s) to the vehicle and remove the adhesive backing. Apply the letters one at a time, into the template, while using your towel to press and hold the letters in place as they bend to the curvature of the hood for 30-45 seconds. Please be advised, 180°+ degrees is hot enough to cause discomfort and harm. Please use extreme caution! Repeat this process until your custom emblem is proudly displayed on the hood.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the opposite side of the hood.
  4. These can be done using a heat gun, but is not recommended over the oven method, as you cannot control the amount of heat being dissipated to a given area. Risks of using a heat gun include burning yourself, damaging the emblem, damaging your vehicle, discoloration of emblem, burning, charring, and warping the acrylic. If you choose to use a heat gun, you will want to use an infrared temp gun to make sure all parts of the emblem are heated to 200° F.

Removing Our Emblems

Our emblems are sold as permanent, and are NOT easy to remove. They can be removed, but care must be taken, and there is always the possibility of damage to paint. To remove them, you will need a heat gun. You need to get them fairly hot. When they are hot, the acrylic is more flexible. Personally, I prefer, if possible) to pop the top layers off first. This allows for easier heating of the lower layer. DO NOT use metal tools under the emblem. You want to use plastic tools only. Although, using a small flathead screwdriver, by pushing it into the side of a heated emblem, helps to get a side lifted up enough to slide a plastic tool under it. While heating, slowly work the plastic tool under the emblem, letting the adhesive separate as you go. This is where having the emblems warmer, really helps. If they are cold, they will break, and you have to start over again. By going slow, you can usually remove entire letters one by one. They will not typically be reusable after removal. To remove leftover adhesive, a rubber vinyl removal wheel is the best. If it isn't available, bug spray helps to soften the adhesive and a microfiber will usually remove it easier.
