Acrylic/Emblem FAQs
How long do these last?
Acrylic has some UV resistance built in. Color plays a big roll. Bright colors can and will fade over time, some faster than others. Gloss/Chrome/Mirror, etc are more prone to scratches than matte finishes. The adhesive we use, with proper installation, will hold indefinitly.
Install FAQs
How hard are these to install with no experience?
These emblems aren’t hard for anyone to install, you just need to GO SLOW. Take your time and have patience. Measure twice or even 3 times if needed. Having a helping hand really helps.
What if I screw up?
$hit happens. Don’t freak out. If you stick a letter crooked, we can usually replace just that letter, so you don’t have to buy a complete new emblem. Contact us to see what we can do! If you have purchased a tailgate kit from us, usually we can sell you just a replacement letter.
Why do I need to apply pressure for 15 to 30 seconds?
Applying pressure, makes sure the adhesive has a chance to grab on. By applying even pressure, it ensures all of the surface area of the tape is attached to the vehicle surface.
How do I remove my emblems?
Our emblems are sold as permanant, so they are not made for easy removal. They CAN be removed, but care must be taken to not damage paint, which is ALWAYS a possability. If you decide to remove your new emblem, you will want to remove them the same way as the factory ones. You will need to use heat to loosen the adhesive. Take care to use enough heat, but not enough that the emblem is melting. Too much heat CAN damage paint. Use a PLASTIC tool to get being the emblem and pull towards you. Peel slowly while applying more heat to avoid damaging the painted surface. You can use a rubber vinyl adhesive removal wheel, or a rag and something like goo gone, bug spray, rubbing alcohol, etc to remove the leftover tape if it doesn’t roll off.

I ordered a flush emblem and the pieces are loose. Is this right?
Yes. Flush emblems are actually more than one elblem. The pieces are pressed into the outer piece. Sometimes they can wiggle a little bit. They shouldn’t be falling out and are checked for that before they leave. Simply re-adjust them or press them back in. When you stick them to the vehicle, they will be held by their own piece of tape, as well as by the pressure from the outer piece.
